The Red Sea is remarkably navigable — warm, clear, and dotted with small islands that make for natural waypoints. A sailing journey from Shura takes you away from the shore and into open water, where the island reveals itself in full: a low, sculptural landmass rising from the sea.

WAMA operates the island's sailing programme with a fleet of well-maintained vessels, from traditional dhows to modern catamarans. Experienced crew handle all aspects of navigation; guests are welcome to participate as much or as little as they choose.

Sunset sails are particularly sought after — departing at dusk, returning in the blue hour, the sea lit with the last of the day's colour.

All sailing experiences are private. Groups of any size can be accommodated.
